The heartfelt love ballad showcases Nick's singing abilities and I must say, it's not bad at all. The man knows his onions and delivers a heartwarming and honest performance ripe with adulation-filled lyrics about true love. The production is brilliant too, it doesn't overwhelm the vocals and the soft piano progression slowly builds up with soulful strings and soft background vocals to boot.
On another note, the visual is both cinematic and emotional as it captures Nick's natural flair in the performance department and matches the power of his voice with a fittingly impactful narrative. In a nutshell, it showcases another side of Nick that is instantly relatable and vulnerable.
"Eyes Closed" is taken from the new holiday movie Miracles Across 125th Street, which was written, and directed byCannon himself.
