Trailblazing Latina singer-songwriter Elle Baez burst onto the scene with her 2021 Debut EP Bold Soul, and followed up with a single “Mister Possessive” earlier this year. She is now back with the second single "Pretty Insecurities", which comes with a visual clip supported by the body-inclusive brand Adore Me. The single is an all-female affair as it's written by Elle, Angela Wang, and Jasmine Hildebrandt, with production by Tiger Darrow and Angela Wang who all team up to create an anthem for the depressed, overstressed, overstimulated culture of today's society. The production is lush and bright, with its upbeat groove and sizzling synths with Elle's commanding vocals taking precedence alongside the body-positive lyrics that remind women to appreciate themselves for their beauty, instead of bowing under pressure to what society dictates. In a nutshell, Elle says "I wanted to make an ironic bop that we all relate to when we feel down on ourselves to remind us that we are beautiful inside & out and to go out and live our lives to the fullest while we can”
The visual taps into the concept of body positivity and the unfair insecurities society place on women's bodies. Using expressive set pieces and motifs to show how diverse women can be, the visual also has a lot of fun elements in it and features all pink lingerie girls' night alluding to the fact that girls just want to have fun. Elle’s taking over with her innovative music and message. Real, authentic, and relatable, Elle is a representation of womxn who have all been craving to see themselves in the spotlight. She empowers and inspires others through her captivating hooks, versatile writing style, and motto of self-love.
