Veteran French singer, vocalist, and producer Sly Johnson shows off his skills with his new single "Trust Me (Instrumental)". The record is a solid fusion of funk and soul presented in his own unique manner. He ramps up the funk with lush guitar plucks and lively riffs that help accentuate the oomph. The fun doesn't end there, as he tempers the drum grooves with thick pulsating bass lines that ebb and flow throughout while solemn strings underpin the entire chorus section.
Sly Johnson has been killing it in his hometown of Paris, France. He is one of the pioneers of hip-hop/soul/jazz fusion music, a member of the acclaimed French rap group SAIAN SUPA CREW and he is also a beatbox practitioner. Sly Johnson started his solo career with an EP called Sumthin’ That U Neva Heard Before (featuring Dudley Perkins & Wildchild of Lootpack), entirely made with his voice, using the beatboxing techniques where he excels and is recognized for it all around the globe.
As a group act, he is involved with 2 different bands, The 74ers and the Jazz Quartet WEARE4.
