Jena Keating makes it clear where she stands on "Nobody Can Have Me"

Irish native Jena Keating has revealed her fresh new offering "Nobody Can Have Me." Jena’s laidback sound incorporates predominantly R&B with infusions of pop and electronica, creating a track that is soulful but is sure to catch the ears of fans with more commercial inclinations.

Jena’s vocals are blissfully smooth too, they are mellow and warm but with a dusky, jagged edge reminiscent of the likes of Dua Lipa, if she swapped her bright melodies for a more sultry, stripped back tone.

The song is beautifully produced, with echoing vocal motifs warping around a minimal beat and Jena’s delectable vocal stacks. Jena has hit the magic formula of an engaging, catchy offering that doesn’t throw itself at the listener. She’s candid in her demeanour and subtly offers an empowerment to those who listen.

“Nobody Can Have Me” is a personal song for Jena, who says: " The song encapsulates the painful detachment from a love not capable of lasting that long but did. It stores a solid truth that nobody ever will ‘have’ whole-fully me, but it comes from a source deeply burrowed in fear. It is misfortune, longing, resentments. It holds the process of healing while also grasping the sound of no more."

Jena Keating clearly isn’t afraid to break the mould, and “Nobody Can Have Me” is a strong addition to her ever-growing catalogue.
