Daniel Orpi Explores Soulful Summer Groove on "Amor"

There’s no surprises behind Daniel Orpi’s new track "Amor" – a rich and soulful tech-house track that hovers over jazz chords and floor stomping tribal rhythms. Orpi is a DJ and producer who’s been honing his skills within the UK club scene since 2016 after diving into the deep end, playing notorious venues such as Fabric and Village Underground.

It didn’t take long for his music to catch the likes of multiple Radio 1 DJ’s, including Sarah Story, Annie Mac and Pete Tong. After releasing his debut on Mr Nice Guy Records, Orpi found himself at the top of Beatports Tech-House chart.

"Amor," is definitely one for the DJ’s this summer. It begins with classic tribal drums which is accompanied with a thumping kick and bassline. Though it soon turns into a luscious house track with beautiful rhodes keys and Spanish vocal samples, which places your head thoughts right near the beach. It’s got a contrasting summer touch to his previous releases such as "So Hot," and "Touch Me, which boast nightlife dancefloor vibes.

The meaning and inspiration behind "Amor," is more heartfelt than what you would initially expect on the dance floor. It’s about finding self-love and having awareness of everything that's going on around. Orpi explains,"Even though the track speaks about lovers, my inspiration was about finding self love and having awareness of true love of ourselves. The sounds are made in tone with the frequency of love, which helps to raise your vibration."
