Known for injecting his music with raw vulnerability, Rich Delinquent isn’t afraid to confront his inner demons through his music. Out now, his latest single and music video “Hallucinating” is no exception, vividly documenting the effects of isolation through his stirring lyricism and sprawling synth-wave production. Written, sung, and produced solely by himself, Rich Delinquent delivers a cathartic vocal performance laced with tension, backed by sweeping synthesizers and a gritty bass line, cumulating into a mesmerizing result.

“'Hallucinating' documents my time in total isolation from society for nearly a full year. I found myself in a very dark place with my worst thoughts running wild… but what doesn't kill me makes me numb to it in the end," Rich shares on the latest release. In 2019, Rich Delinquent broke loose onto the music scene, utilizing imagery from pop culture villains as a creative manifestation of his mental health in his music. Singles like “Death Drive” , “Forget About Me”, and “Cocaine Late Nights” enraptured listeners all over the world.

2021 brought along Rich Delinquent’s debut album Sadboi. Unafraid to discuss the harsher realities of depression and anxiety, he channeled his feelings around life and love into Sadboi. Fearlessly examining the complexities of relationships, addiction, and the pursuit of passion through his songwriting, Rich Delinquent utilized his lyricism and emotive vocals to fully express himself in his first full-length body of work that brought in an immense support from listeners.

Melding a dark blend of electronic, hip-hop, and emo sounds together in his music, Rich Delinquent has developed an addictive brand around his project as his music and videos continue to speak to a generation that seeks deeper meaning in the art they consume.
