Portland, Oregon based artist Blake Yung has returned with a new single called "Hollow." Following up his 2-song offering Fragile from earlier this year, as well as collaborations with the likes of MOD SUN, Supah Mario, and Caskey, "Hollow" further defines his raw, genre-bending sound and vulnerable songwriting.
"Hollow" contains wistful instrumentation centred around evocative guitars that drift in a dream-like manner above crisp percussion and booming 808s. Atop the nostalgic beat, Yung delivers a series of heartfelt melodies that are sharply-crafted and infectious, lingering in one's head after listening. "Hollow" contains engaging dynamics that build throughout the verses into a powerful chorus that uses distorted guitars to give the instrumental a layered feel, as Yung caps it off with a memorable, cathartic hook.
The latest from Portland-based artist Blake Yung, "Hollow" continues his streak of genre-blending, engaging singles packed with emotive and raw songwriting.
