Bay Area producer/singer JKXO and singer/songwriter Jadelyn have teamed up for a collaborative project titled Cold Blooded and as they prepare to release it, they share the title track alongside the visuals. The somber duet showcases the duo's chemistry and evocative lyrics that dwell on love and infatuation. Over JKXO's moody and reflective backdrop made up of melancholic strings, warm pads, and soft drums, Jadelyn leads the charge with her sultry vocal runs and airy harmonies. She muses over a lover who has eaten deep into the core of her being while JKXO comes through in the second verse and reinforces the theme with an adulation-filled performance.
The visual by Jeremy Belack, Christian Long, and Steve Cardigan is as cinematic as they come and makes use of motifs and a gripping love tale where unpredictability is the key. We see Jadelyn as the lead character with her lover going through emotional turmoil albeit silently. Viewers might be on edge trying to figure out the clues but we just have to wait and see how it pans out at the end. The visual also includes JKXO in a separate performance shot but we are not entirely sure how he plays into the story but we might get answers when the next release comes out.
Cold Blooded is the lead single and title track from the upcoming collaborative EP from JKXO and Jadelyn.
