Red Hot Org team up with Nigerian female artists for exciting project 'KELE-LE '

The Nigerian non-profit organization Red Hot Org has teamed up with four female rising stars Lady Donli, OSHUN, Bella Alubo, Tomi Owo, and Mz Kiss for an exciting project titled KELE-LE . The 4-track EP is an Afrocentric infusion of sounds from the different artists who have come together to raise awareness and provide financial support for women’s health clinics in Nigeria, and their fight against the country’s growing HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Singer/songwriter Tomi Owo opens up the project with the positive, affirmative track "Go On Woman". The mellow, uplifting ballad is ripe with Tomi's fluid and subtle melodic runs and aspirational lyrics that aim to empower her fellow women. The title serves as a confirmation to women to go forth and blossom, and not shy away from being who they truly are. This is followed by the party jam "You Look Good " by singer and rapper Mz Kiss and NY sister duo OSHUN who pour a multitude of adulations upon their fellow women out there. The celebratory track could be an anthem for all women who want to be free of societal pressures and just have fun, even if it's for a day. Eclectic singer Lady Donli sprinkles some of her free-spirited vibes with the bouncy neo-soul infused tune "Kauna", while Bella Alubo closes out the project with "Loneliest Girl In The World", a fun-filled pop offering showcasing her versatilty, as she switches between mellow rap and catchy pop melodies.

Kele-le is the latest in a series of over 20 compilation projects since 1990 that Red Hot Org have curated in their bid to raise awareness and money for organizations on the front-lines of global health pandemics, epidemics, and health crises. Over its 25 years, the charity organization has worked with Bon Iver, Arcade Fire, Blood Orange, Chance The Rapper, Wu Tang Clan, Madonna, Nirvana, U2, and Childish Gambino, among others- and curated seminal projects such as Red Hot + Dance, No Alternative, Red Hot + Riot, Dark Was The Night and Red Hot + Fela, been championed by the likes of Billboard, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, NME, and NY Times, and donated millions of dollars to health organizations around the world.

In Nigeria today, over 1 million women are living with HIV/AIDS, with women aged 15-49 twice as likely to be living with HIV than men, and women aged 30-39 with the highest prevalence of HIV in the country, but nearly half of the women living with HIV/AIDS are being treated with viral suppression. The KELE-LE project wants to help provide resources to the infrastructures of change tackling this crisis, and the essential work that these organizations are doing on the ground. All funds raised by the EP will be matched by Red Hot Org and distributed to organizations such as Wellbeing Foundation Africa, RAISE Foundation, Women Trafficking & Child Labour Eradication Foundation, Freehearts Africa Reachout Foundation, and the Social Welfare Network Initiative.
