London duo Loxy & Ink have been holding down on the Drum and Bass scene for many decades and now they set things off on a hip-hop note in 2022 with their new release "Spray Trains Of Thought." The hard-hitting track is filled to the brim with graphic imagery and bravado from the duo who take it back to the essence of rap with a pure lyricism that showcases their versatility.
Backed by a cinematic and urgent soundscape made up of dark textures, anthemic horns, and a rousing drum groove, Loxy & Ink aims to paint the listener's mind with bright and vivid images using social and scientific references that also reflect the present time.
The visual makes use of performance shots of the duo at different spots and has a dim, moody aesthetic, with simplicity and seamless transitions and of course, fast pace cut scenes. As the saying goes, sometimes less is more.
The UK breakbeat pioneers have racked up an arsenal of releases for breakthrough labels such as Metalheadz, Hospital Records, and Renegade Hardware, as well as their own Cylon Recordings and Architecture Recordings imprints. Their sounds have been brought to countless dancefloors around the globe, and the pair has held down residencies at pivotal nights such as Metalheadz Blue Note sessions, Fabio & Bukem’s Speed, and Renegade Hardware’s parties at The End.
