little luna's new EP, through the self, is a journey of the self: reflection, allowance to change, and empowerment.

Opening with "last time," she dives right into the mood. "Shedding my skin, versions of me unraveling, talking to the good girl I've been for the last time," she sings over the effervescent chorus. It perfectly sets the stage for her self-reflection.

The plucky strings and whimsical melodies of "under the wave" evoke the songs of the 70s. It's a hint of nostalgia. It builds into this cathartic chorus, reflecting getting caught in the waves and being pulled underneath. little luna is a master at adding those nuances and layers to her music. Shifting into "the glass," the bouncy song highlights her sunny vocals. Emphasizing how the things that may be the toughest to deal with can be a signal for change.

"thief" is soft and gentle. little luna's layered vocals lacing in and out of the orchestration at the end feel so triumphant—a turning point in the project. The closing track "roads" is optimistic and wistful. "Where do I go now?" she repeats to herself but reassures, "I'll be alright." She knows that the journey is ahead of her.

As a yoga and meditation teacher for seven years, she knows how to intertwine her love of self-care with her music perfectly. They inspire each other. She says, "through the self is a phrase that came to me in meditation when I was creating my vision board for 2021! it was the answer to my question: how do I share my music with the world in a way that is authentically me?' loud and clear, I received 'you have to go through the self.'"

She embodies this journey by releasing a yoga flow that goes with each of her songs and closing out her project with a meditation that guides the listener on their journey of self-discovery.

little luna is a singer/songwriter and wellness advocate. Her latest single, "last time," landed on coveted Spotify playlists "New Noise" and "Fierce Femmes." She recently announced that she'll be supporting 5 Seconds of Summer on their upcoming LA shows at The Hollywood Palladium on June 16th and 17th.
