LA-based dance-rock band Crashing Hotels, drop vibrant single “For a Sunburn,” taken from their forthcoming sophomore album Trophic Cascade. Led by an intricate instrumental that launches us into a psychedelic trip, the track is led by melodic but hazy vocals within a summery warm soundscape.

Carried by layers of synths, soaring high notes and anthemic vibes, the track captures the message of the upcoming album, which delves into the irreversible grip of climate change on a quickly dying planet.

Despite the foreboding theme of the album, “For a Sunburn,” comes across as a catchy, feel-good number that we’d find hard not to play on loop. With his new collection of tracks set to delve into socially aware themes framed by earworm sonics, this latest offering makes for an enticing glimpse into the unique artist’s mind.
