After sharing a handful of singles, LA transplant ethemadassassin has stepped up to bat with his new full-length project Handz of Stone. This 9-track project features solid production from a choice line-up of producers, including JR Swiftz, D.R.U.G.S. Beats, Vanderslice, Slidebeatz, Stu Bangas, and more. He also brings in some fellow emcees such as XP The Marxman, John Jigg$, Substance810, Maze Overlay and more to help him out. Lastly, to mark the release of the project, he has also shared a video for album track "Radiation."
The project opens up with the moody "Jack Mack" which comprises a crunchy drum break layered over darker textures. ethemadassassin goes for the jugular with lines like "Wash him up, the bubbles on him like a Mont Clair/ Size 'em up for Big L, send him up God's stairs", and completely annihilates his opposition on the record. This is followed by "Breathe It In" and "Loki (Bread and a Plate)"- a pair of menacing cuts that riddled with graphic lyrical displays and cinematic soundscapes that hold the listener's attention like action scenes. "Size 12 Pippen's" has a reflective feel and sees him raising the ante with a deep dive into the wild streets of his hometown, and it's nothing sweet. Other notable records include "Nightmare Visions" featuring John Jigg$ and XP the Marxman , the nostalgic and solemn "Aunt Tee's House" and the closer "Radiation".
Watch the video for"Radiation" below. Directed by Shot By Curt, the footage captures the hazy vibe of the City of Angels and follows E as he basks in the glowing LA sun.
