New England-born and Nashville-based musician, and singer-songwriter Elise Hayes crafts relatable and emotional music full of heart and soul. Her latest single is called "Human Heart" and is the title track to her newly released EP of the same name which explores themes such as emotional highs and lows, loss, anxiety and hope.

In "Human Heart,” Hayes is candid about her struggles with walking the fine line between being sensitive and compassionate and not becoming a pushover: "try to be harder, try to be soft / I know there has got to be a sweet spot / looking for balance but I get lost," she sings. "Human Heart" further details the pain and hardship that can come from being an extremely empathetic person. With lyrics including "does anybody else feel like sometimes it's too real / build the walls up in my head but I got a breaking ball in my chest / try to cry it all out / but I feel too much,” Hayes recognizes the burden of heavy emotion.

Sonically, "Human Heart" features a warm and steady beat that is reminiscent of a human pulse underneath Hayes' velvety smooth, cashmere-tinged vocals. The song thrills with a soaring yet tender melody gliding over contemporary pop soundscapes.

Hayes is known for her honest songwriting that is full of depth and reliability. The lifelong performer first took to the stage at the young age of twelve and soon dedicated her life to music. Finding success as Carly Pearce's touring musician as well as penning tracks for acclaimed artists Lucie Silvas and Jill Andrews, Hayes knew she had to share her own music to the world. In 2015 she released her first single "Waves", and since then has unveiled a series of soul-pop tracks attracting an international fanbase.
