Pop trio Space Fight delivers innovative music video for feel-good track “Fool For Me,” a modern love song crafted on a vibrant bed of bass and drums with emotive vocals.
Balancing the new-age electro sonics with nuances of something more classic, the music video is a jigsaw of black and white footage pieced together from several old public domain films, carefully picked up Space Fight singer Spen Miles. The timelessness of love is brought out by the most prominent film choice, 1938’s Algiers, as the loving warmth of the track is offset by the hypnotic, cooling tones of the visuals.
Formed by three friends over a pint in a London pub over a decade ago in 2010, Space Fight which consists of two members of indie rock act Ra Ra Riot has consistently built a sound that they’ve described as ““American East Coast pop,” brought to life on London stages with a creative intent of reflecting expansive human experiences.
With their sophomore LP set to grace our ears this summer, “Fool For Me,” makes for an enticing glimpse of what’s to come for Space Fight in the rest of 2022.
