During the past two years, we’ve seen artists completely transform themselves and either take advantage of the situation, or lose out on many opportunities due to the realities of being an artist during the pandemic. Hailing from New York, rising vocalist Rae Radick initially experienced some major setbacks, with a large portion of her live performances being either canceled or rescheduled. With the extra free time, she decided to double down and further develop her craft, resulting in her well-received self-titled 2021 project. Looking to take the next step after that release, she checks in with her engaging new single, “When It All Goes Down" with New York multi-instrumentalist Vin Scialla.
Set to a climatic tone, “When It Goes Down” is a reflective, engaging single that finds Rae putting a few of her many talents on display. Utilizing her sharp songwriting abilities, she pens a relatable record comparing the end of a relationship to that feeling you may get when you reach the end of the road in general. With Scialla on the guitar, the duo does a great job of meshing together sonically, as Rae’s deeper vocal tone perfectly compliments his infectious melodic runs.
