Emerging Liberian singer/songwriter Kandaace Cooper shares her debut single “Answer Me” which comes off the heels of her winning the prestigious Y’ello Star Award, sponsored by the country’s leading telecommunications provider, MTN. The mid-tempo bouncy record sees her belting out sultry melodic runs with a commanding vocal presence that grips the ears alongside the smooth alluring textures laid underneath. Birthed out of her own experiences, Cooper pours her heart out on wax as she reflects deeply about her crush, wondering if he is truly the one she needs in her life.
“Answer Me” is taken from Cooper's forthcoming debut EP which dives into a handful of topics ranging from love and life and heartbreaks. The single was co-written by her manager Jonathan S. Baker.
