Emerging pop singer Dreamer Boy showcases unique synth-infused sound on latest release, “OVER EVERYTHING.” The club-worthy track has a casual upbeat rhythm. The accompanying visual toggles between the artist dancing as he harmonizes and lovey-dovey embraces amongst different couples. Los Angeles cityscapes and beaches act as the perfect backdrop to Dreamer Boy’s whimsical vocals.

“OVER EVERYTHING” begins with the mellow chorus harmony that gradually builds up with smooth synths and light bass. The artist sings, “I remember when it was only us, over everything no matter what. We were in love under the sun, now it’s getting colder.” The lyrics describe the exhilarating romance that comes in the beginning stages of a new relationship. As the relationship matures, the dynamic changes. Dreamer Boy divulges the importance of living in the small moments of joy and carefreeness.

In the last minute of the song, the beat changes its speed, morphing into a fast-paced electronica sound. The singer is shirtless dancing in a dimly lit Fight Club-esque gym. The song abruptly ends but the catchy beat and hook lingers in the mind. “OVER EVERYTHING” ignites a familiar feeling that so many can relate to. The feeling of bliss and simplicity is felt through every verse.

Dreamer Boy describes the meaning behind the track, “It’s about going off and doing your own thing but remembering when it was simpler when that person was the only thing on your mind.” The single is an empowering ode to relationships and potential love lost. Reflecting on the positive moments gives an optimistic outlook for the future. Following the release of his 2021 album All The Ways We Are Together, the indie-pop artist continues to create a genre-bending sound all his own.

I am a digital marketer and publicist with a passion for A&R and music management. Originally from Southern California, I spent many years as a transplant in the Midwest in the St. Louis and Chicago areas. Now I am back in sunny Los Angeles. Besides my professional life, I enjoy music of all genres with a sweet spot for hip-hop/rap. I love my west coast rap and all things Tupac, Kendrick, Nipsey, etc. I am always down to go to a show, whether the venue be the smallest hole in the wall or the largest arena.
