New York City based alt soul meets pop singer Lisa Remar has just unveiled her first release of the year. Entitled "Lankersham," the track is the first single off of her upcoming EP hi… set for release April 6th.

With "Lankersham," Remar contemplates heavy feelings of regret and sadness from relationships lost. She sings, "grew tired of the chase/ so my instinct was to flee/ it still stings a bit/the weight of you," acknowledging that her coping mechanism is leaving the relationship and going inward to find comfort and peace. With soft and warm soul-drenched vocals, stunning harmonies and moody guitar riffs, "Lankersham" is a delicate and emotive single all about moving on. Remar has an uncanny ability to write pensive and intimate songs that are lush and poignantly beautiful.

Lisa Remar is a Japanese and American actress, singer, songwriter and producer. Drawn to a love of music at an early age, she used singing as a coping mechanism to feel less alone and isolated, making her impressive debut last year with the eight track cinematic album Still Good. Take a listen to "Lankersham" now and remember fake friends come and go.
