Nova Scotia-based producer DK and rapper/DJ/producer, and practicing visual artist Ghettosocks are currently working on a collaborative album titled Listen to the Masters, and in the interim, they share the lead single "What It Seems," showing listeners what to expect. The record is laid back and quite somber for the most part as the soundscape conveys a melancholic feeling bolstered by the reflective and somewhat gloomy lyrics delivered by the rappers in question. Ghettosocks is joined by NY emcees Skyzoo, and Rome Streetz who add their own unique touch to the record with varied cadences and detailed lyricism that dwell on the current state of affairs of the world. In the end, they remind us that this world is a never-ending game of chess and the winners are those who think before they make moves.
