Amber Ais finds the beauty in the "Ordinary" in her new song

Amber Ais just released her new song "Ordinary" and the immaculate '80s vibes and her effortless, gentle vocals make this the perfect soundtrack for a daydream romance.

Her knack for sweet, relatable lyrics shines through as she details a sweet love story. "I've always been told that things that seem ordinary or mundane seem much better with the one you love," she told me. Ais is known for her candid lyrics that seem like they could be ripped from her diary, but this song has a dreamy layer of fantasy.

Ais wrote the song about a fictional character from a movie that embodies that perfect Hollywood scene. She sings, "I hate the snow, but with you, it's confetti," it's the image of that perfect love that everyone craves but feels like it lives in your imagination. The sparkling instrumentation and shimmering chorus just add to that idea. It's perfect and unattainable.

Amber Ais is an indie-pop singer-songwriter from Boston, MA. Her earliest musical start was singing at church and writing songs at recess with her friends. At age 15, she got her first guitar and decided to pursue music fully and later began her studies at Berklee College of Music, where she majored in songwriting. She is currently working on new music to share and hopes to continue creating and collaborating with other writers and producers in the near future.
