UK producer Remulak and Brooklyn-based rapper Justo The Mc are currently working on a full-length collaborative project and in the meantime, they share a new single"Knockturnal" to keep fans engaged. The record is a classic boom-bap-drum-driven record that exudes that classic 90s hip-hop aesthetic from the golden era with its heavy sound design and excellent scratches. Justo is in his element as well and holds his own with lines like "I put a hump in shorty back like a camel/ Watch you line up and hear your story like a panel/ Unimpressed, got stress for days/I ain't sleep or wink, no rest for days."
Although he started making music in 2001, Remulak released his debut EP Nightsessions in 2015 and hasn't looked back since. He and Joey Deez run their own label called Village Live Records and most recently his song "Karma" was used as the soundtrack for British boxer Anthony Joshua's BBC documentary.
"Knockturnal" is the title track from the duo's forthcoming 11-track LP which features guest appearances from Van Ward, Don Casper, Jazz T, DJ Madhandz & Eddie Skratch.
The album is available to pre-order now on yellow vinyl, black vinyl & digital here.
