Connor Zwetsch gets nostalgic with "Loud Song For Lost Girls"

Florida-born and bred singer Connor Zwetsch has just unleashed her latest indie-rock meets pop tune "Loud Song For Lost Girls". The talented musician collaborated with Grammy-nominated and Platinum-selling producer Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Brandi Carlile, Vance Joy) for the first single off of her forthcoming full-length album Girls of my Youth.

In "Loud Song For Lost Girls", the singer/songwriter tapped into her early influences of '90s pop-rock a la Alanis Morisette and New Radicals. With her soulful Americana-dipped vocals gliding over driving bass and melodic guitar riffs, Zwetsch has crafted a song that is sentimental and wistful but equally hard-hitting. With lyrics including, "it's not so bad, not so hard if you look closer at it, no one even thinks about you, no one heard you slam the door," Zwetsch explores how sometimes we really want to be seen or heard by others and that loneliness can be difficult to deal with. Being so, she confides through her lyrics that if you don't take things personally and look inward for peace, the feelings are not as bad as you once thought.

Connor Zwetsch is a prolific songwriter that started releasing music in 2015. The artist often writes about her experiences as a queer woman who came out at a young age to unsupportive parents. She further explores existential themes such as finding a purpose, following ambition and dealing with loss. The enthralling creator is set to unveil her debut album Girls of my Youth later this year and we can't wait to hear what is next.
