Bristol musician Harvey Causon, teases forthcoming EP Vertebrae with introspective pop number “Foxtrot N,” which sees Causon’s swell of vocals lead us through a valiant attempt to seek answers to the difficult questions in life.

Combining a restless beat and metallic synths with evocative, bold lyricism that weave an uneasy atmosphere, the track was born of researching ballroom dance form The Foxtrot, which originated from black culture. With this seed of inspiration growing into a contemplation of systemic wrongs as well as the process of learning and unlearning, “Foxtrot N,” is tense and anthemic all at once.

Acompanied by a music video, made in collaboration with movement artist, director and choreographer Kat Collings, the surging electronic production is given a cinematic polish as a smooth dance works with Causon’s soaring voice in perfect tandem. The fourth offering from his upcoming body of work, “Foxtrot N,” is a self-produced track framed by intellect and creativity, once again setting up Harvey Causon as a quickly rising star.
