Jake Lancer drops classic club inspired banger "Feel Your Love"

NYC-based electro-pop artist Jake Lancer has just stepped out on the music scene with his intoxicating debut single "Feel Your Love". The artist, who draws influence from legendary pop icons such as Troye Sivan, Lady Gaga, and David Bowie to name a few, aims to create infectious dance-pop music as a positive outlet for himself, the LGBTQIA community, and for the listeners who can gain inspiration and healing from the intentional messages found in his music.

"Feel Your Love" is a song reminiscent of the cherished and carefree pre-pandemic club nights in the city. Immediately you are swept up by the feelings of hope and excitement that radiate from this dance-ready anthem, and there is a newfound sense of optimism that permeates from the core of the music and extends itself to the listener's heart and soul. Nostalgic, romantic, and endorphin-releasing, the sonic elements are a revival of classic club mixes of the 2000s laced with 90s vocals for the ultimate escape into freedom and bliss. In the song, Lancer's "cry for help becomes a celebration for the universal desire for love and intimacy," and Lancer further confides, "I wrote 'Feel Your Love' in a time of loneliness, craving validation and intimacy, while also looking outward to fulfill my innate shame as a gay man. It is my dance-pop fantasy, romanticizing intimacy, and the illusion that is unfulfilled by the apps and “gay” hookup culture." After a time of loneliness, isolation and great uncertainty, it's a song that is truly relatable to the masses, despite the listener's sexual orientation.

Singer-songwriter Jake Lancer grew up in the city of New York, where he found love for music and sound by frequenting the nightclubs of the city. As an out and proud gay man, as well as a licensed therapist, Lancer hopes that his music will be a guiding light for those walking a similar path in life. With much more music on the way, we can't wait to hear what's next for this talented newcomer.

Listen to Jake Lancer's "Feel Your Love" and get swept away by the sweltering passion and energy of the dancefloor.
