Munich-based R&B pop singer Debby van Dooren, aka DEVADO, shares her first single for 2022 titled "The dreamy song (Free-er)" alongside its accompanying video clip. The multi-talented artist is fully hands-on with her music as she writes, records, and produces all her music from her basement studio. Her new release is an ode to her musical independence and also applies to everyday life where one needs to be cheerful to pull through the craziness around. Over a mid-tempo bouncy backdrop, DEVADO pours her heart on wax as she banishes all the negative spirits around and clamors for the need to be free to soar beyond the open skies. The self-produced track, as she puts it, was made using her vocals and body percussion transformed into instruments. The track was mixed and mastered by Dennis Keil.
The visual is a DIY clip shot by DEVADO herself and it's a display of being free-spirited without any restraints. It makes use of a lot of quick-cut scenes, some performance shots, and symbolic aesthetics that tie into the theme of the song itself.
