Now based in San Francisco, the vocalist kicks off the year with brand new tune, "Honey Drip," which digs deep into the inner workings of an unhealthy relationship and sleeplessness. The self-produced record has a bright and summery vibe with its crisp guitar plucks and warm tones that blend with her soul-stirring melodic runs. She details a situation of pure bliss with someone who is seemingly toxic but also brings happiness to her life.
Confessed to be composed during a bout with insomnia and dealing with a personal loss, it's the perfect personification of the bubble a perfect outside life lives in, all the while crumbling on the inside.
"Honey Drip" is taken from Abby diamond's forthcoming project entitled Moon + Stars, where she will be releasing one song at a time on the full moon of every month. The project dwells on seeing the human being you fall in love with as a doorway leading you into space, and each track tells the story of a unique person and relationship. The project was conceived while she was in NY and served as therapy and a way for her to cope with her personal loss.
Abby Diamond is a San Francisco-based multi-disciplinary artist who kicked off her career as a jazz vocalist in New Orleans. She has ventured into different genres from soul to electronic and developed her producing and songwriting skills along the way.
