Spanish Harlem spitter Bodega Bamz and beat chemist V Don go back in the lab to resurrect a few lost tracks in The Lost Package—a 13 track project that blends street savvy raps, banging cinematic soundscape while upholding that good old NY gritty vibe we all grew up on. As expected, Bodega Bamz holds it down on his own with only a handful of features from the likes of Willie The Kid, Smoke DZA, and Emilio Rojas.
The project starts with a semi-introductory cut titled "Crossfire" that Bamz uses to set the tone with his vivid verbal imagery and some revealing tales about his life and roots. Next up is the solemn vocal sample-driven "100 keep It" which features Smoke DZA and Willie The Kid who bring in their distinct styles to the forefront. Bamz knack for storytelling continues on records like the moody "Livin' Like That," Pusha," and the reflective "Science." V don is exemplary with the production as he crafts the perfect audio canvas for Bamz to paint with it. On the jazzy "Raise Ya Glasses" he details a fledgling love story that everyone can relate to while having fun with an interpolated hook that music lovers would recognize. The only other feature comes on the soulful "Different Kind Of High" with Emilio Rojas where both emcees break down how their natural charisma make them stand out from the rest. With so much music recorded, Bamz effortlessly delivers the goods with a plethora of cuts that captures a snapshot of his life since his debut Sidewalk Exec in 2015.
