Berlin-based indie pop act Rumia drops introspective single “What a Show,” carried by a soothing combination of her wispy vocals and echoey beats. Taken from her upcoming self-titled album, the narrative-heavy offering weaves an immersive tale on relationships, taking us through past relationships into the maturity that forms the future of our bonds.

Inspired by her own life, the electro-tinged track breaks down the stories of three women in different stages and ages of life, she leads us through how people and feelings evolve over the years. Infused with soft pianos and acoustic guitars which a layer of simplicity to the intricate pop sonics, “What a Show,” draws life from one of Rumia’s first relationships.

Partly auto-biographical yet utterly relatable, the track reveals the rising musician penchant for pulling out expansive tales from the depths of her heart, driven by polished instrumentals that move seamlessly across genres like trip hop and modern pop led by the power of her storytelling abilities. Making her presence known in the Berlin music scene, Rumia is prepping for a busy year filled with gentle music, leading us toward her album.
