North-East five-piece Komparrison drops addictive offering “And Again,” bringing hazy riffs with punchy vocal lines for a feel-good production about getting over your ex. With a care-free vibe founded on catchy rhythms and retro '90s rock melodies, the empowering track is the friend we all need in a moment of weakness.
Described by the band as “the song your best friend has to play to you when you decide to get back with your ex,” the guitar-led track weaves a relatable message on relationships as it urges us to move forward from past love. Accompanied by a playful music video which complements the powerful sonics, “And Again” is a girl-power anthem that gets everyone singing along.
Formed by by friends Elise Harrison and Kaitlyn Kempen, Komparrison, who grew to be a quintet with members Ellie, Jess and Elliott have re-invented and evolved over the past year. Having released their debut single in January 2021, the group have quickly built a reputation for optimistic and fun indie productions, framed by observant contemplations on being a working class woman in the North-East.
As youthful and charming as they are thoughtful, Komparrison have proven to be an act led by self-confidence and explosive soundscapes, as they continue to establish themselves as an act to watch.
