Rock n' roll band Lovechild release their kicking debut album 'All You Need is Lovechild'

To kick off this new year, New York City rock 'n' roll band Lovechild share their debut album, All You Need is Lovechild, with nine electric tracks displaying their cool and energetic style.

A lot of the album has that New York City image of tenacious, but sometimes lonely independence. A lot of the tracks vary in levels of intensity, really capturing the ups and downs of life. “Hats Off" is informal in the best way possible, filled with gritty guitar riffs, while “Baby, Won’t You Pass Me a Light?” and “Sunshine” have a '60s/'70s vibe reminiscent of Bob Dylan or Elton John with either hard-strumming acoustic guitars or languid guitar whines.  However, a track like “Know That You Love Me” goes soft like a Lennon-like Beatles’ song, poetic and peaceful.

What’s great about this album is that it’s clear that the band isn’t trying to sound like anyone else. They respect and nod to the classic rock of the 20th century, but put their modern flare to keep rock music exciting and relatable for new listeners.

Leo poetically described the album as “an expression of the human drive to keep going and keep striving for the potentially unattainable in the midst of a world that often tries to beat us down with struggle and strife.”

Because the album is inspired by frontman Leo Lovechild’s NYC life and the band’s journey together in life and in music, the band is also sharing a short documentary "Driving With Leo." The film follows Leo driving through his hometown of New York City, sharing stories on just about everything. It’s definitely a nice accompaniment to the album, letting fans know the band on an even more personal level.
