Singer/songwriter Neverfail is spreading much-needed hope with his new single “Covid Gotcha Good" in these perilous times. As different variants of Covid-19 keep springing up, we are often bogged down with breaking news of gloom and doom, so it’s a relief to escape from the madness even if it’s for only three minutes. Over a guitar-infused rousing backdrop, he delivers an over-the-top performance peppered with a catchy chorus to boot. Neverfail sure knows how to entertain the listener as he pokes fun at the different mannerisms of people in the pandemic, from the reckless ones, the overly cautious ones, and those who don’t care. Ultimately he is just reminding us to be safe, try to live our lives as normal as possible, and not take chances.
The visual is quite engaging and hilarious for the most part, with party-going individuals, the wacky health workers, and zany scenarios. He also spliced in clips of real political meetings and demonstrations to remind us that this pandemic is really reshaping our lives.
