Los Angeles based R&B artist Coline Creuzot just released her new heartfelt and soulful single entitled “Sometimes.” The acclaimed artist, who is best known for her intoxicating R&B love ballads that radiate with a blend of pop charisma and dreamy nostalgia, has built a growing reputation through her tender songwriting and unguarded expression.
In “Sometimes,” Creuzot meditates on themes of honesty and vulnerability, embracing the importance of exposing our true feelings when it comes to love, despite how uncomfortable it may be. Dripping with sultry layered vocals over a svelte-smooth melody, the track feels rich and velvety, with wavelike flows of intensity and kaleidoscopic soundscapes. There is a strong sense of powerful energy behind Creuzot’s words, and you instantly feel her commanding presence as she shares her truth. With intention and strength, Creuzot confides, "Sometimes we hold back telling people how much we love them or miss them for many different reasons, but the song has a refreshing honesty. The message is, if you love someone, let them know." The cathartic nature of the song feels empowering, uplifting and relatable to anyone who has ever let love slip through their fingertips. Co-written by songwriter Sam Hook (Ella Mai, Trey Songz, Keyshia Cole) and produced by Happy Perez (Miguel, Mariah Carey and Frank Ocean) the song feels both polished and masterful, and these two collaborators' undeniable flair shine brightly on the track from start to finish.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Coline Creuzot was captivated by the arts at an early age, and began writing and singing all the way through grade school and college. After college, she began recording music with her longtime producer and friend Happy Perez, with singles "Truth Is" and "You Tried It" both peaking on the Urban AC Billboard Charts. Aside from recording music, Creuzot is also a talented performer, and has opened for acts such as Drake, Keyshia Cole, Monica, David Banner and TI to name a few.
