Baird remains one of the most creative figures in LA's burgeoning music scene thanks to his genre-spanning production and consistently imaginative visuals. Within the last year, the multi-instrumentalist has lent out his talents to many other revered artists including Brockhampton, Kevin Abstract, Vegyn, Berhana, while working on the follow-up to 2020's excellent BIRDSONGS, Vol. 2.
Baird finally resurfaces with a new single and Jack Begert directed visual entitled "Easy On Them Turns", a light-hearted cautionary tale about the risk of literally and figuratively moving too fast in life, inspired by a bike accident experienced by Baird on the way to the studio: "I leaned a little harder into the turn than I should have. Maybe it was the weight of my backpack, maybe it was my reckless abandon, but I felt the tire loose grip on the ground and before I knew it I was over the handlebars, skidding penguin-style on the road. I was alright — a hole in my jeans and some lost skin, but nothing I couldn’t patch up. Getting up, the hook came into my head. Note to self: Easy on them turns."
