New York-based, award-winning actress and rising singer songwriter Laura Dreyfuss just released her new single and visuals for “Nose To Nose,” her fourth single ahead of her debut EP next month. It’s not very often that we are introduced to a multi-talented wonder such as Dreyfuss, who has graced the stages with her performances in the Tony Award-winning Once, Dear Evan Hansen, Glee, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Netflix's The Politician. Releasing singles since 2018, the talented artist has thrilled us with her emotive storytelling, warm flowing vocals, and beautiful display of vulnerability.

In “Nose To Nose,” Dreyfuss delivers a heart-on-sleeve tribute to her dog, Banjo. After a whirlwind year filled with isolation, chaos and uncertainty, Dreyfuss crafted the perfect message of heart, spirit, and soul for those who need it most. It’s a song about friendship, playfulness, and connecting with the special things that feel good so that we can find deeper meaning and appreciation in life. Dreyfuss confides, “I wanted to capture the purest form of love, and I felt like a fun way to express that was writing about my dog Banjo. She’s such a presence in my life. The lyrics seem like they’re about a person though! Musically, it’s the joy of having this unconditional love from an innocent animal. It’s a celebration of that.” Featuring sweetly sung notes, light strums of the guitar, and lush flowing electronic soundscapes, the song effortlessly drives home a sense of nostalgia, renewal, gratitude, and hope.

In the accompanying visuals, the songwriter captures all of her and Banjo’s sundrenched fun together – playing in the park, cuddling in bed, and taking selfies – while the third wheel is her romantic partner who constantly vies for Dreyfuss's attention. The visuals do an excellent job of capturing the endless love and unbreakable bond between dog and owner, and will bring a big smile to your face and joy to your heart.

If you want a song to lift your spirits, “Nose To Nose” is the perfect song to add to your playlists. Taken from Laura Dreyfuss’s upcoming debut EP entitled Peaks, set to release November via BMG, the record is a soothingly tender-hearted and optimistic pop song that is bound to add a little brightness and laughter to your day.
