Following his recent single "Somebody New" alongside Palmeria, rising Italian-London based multi-instrumentalist and producer LOELASH gets set for new single "Whispers".
With backing from Help Musicians, the new single arrives before his debut album Fantasia set to be released this November. Offering a glimpse into his signature sound and what's to come from the full project, "Whispers" is brimming with character, boasting vibrant pad melodies and keys alongside subtle yet sultry vocals. Enclosed with precise percussion and dreamy sax riffs, "Whispers" showcases LOELASH at his very best as he navigates a genre bending landscape packed with electronica, jazz and a sprinkle of house groove.
A track with the present in mind, LOELASH's "Whispers" is a product of refusing not to dwell in the past and encouraging others to live in the moment. He shares, "Born after a few weeks in the very first lockdown, 'Whispers' draws its energy from the need to dance, get loose and enjoy life; it reflects our deepest, wildest desires for freedom. The smooth vocal sample – it almost sounds like a whisper – was the inspiration for the music, followed by the jazz chords and dreamy saxophone lines. It contrasts the solid bass and hard-hitting drums that lead to the proper house drop. Plus, the solo at the end is the perfect statement about my love for blending genres."
Honing his talent from an early age, LOELASH's multi-instrumentalist status stems from learning the saxophone and piano at age 9 with a unique palette for exploring classical, fusion and jazz genres as well as electronic and hip-hop artists.
