West Coast indie label Fantastic Voyage looks to celebrate their 5-year anniversary this Friday, Oct 8th, as record label founder and globally-acclaimed house producer Justin Jay links up with LA-based R&B singer Oli-J for the release of “Colors”—the lead single off a new 3-disk FV anniversary compilation. "Colors" is a dancefloor R&B banger that further highlights the seemingly limitless diverse musical capabilities of Justin Jay, which can be found throughout the eclectic sounds of the Fantastic Voyage project. EARMILK is excited to provide an early premiere of this latest single for fans prior to its official release this Friday. Check out the link below.

Gentle keys open up "Colors" as passion-driven vocals set the stage for a truly sincere and earnest track that blends the best of soul, R&B, electro-pop, and house music. The beautifully bouncy bassline and rhythmic hi-hats drive the track and Justin utilizes these sounds to add a playful layer of sexy funk that help combat the evocative vocals from singer Oli J. But the talented singer doesn't hold back on this track either. Oli J puts on a full display of his vocal talents as he hits a wide range of fiery falsetto that ignite the dancefloor while his soft gentle croons send a message of inner love that speaks to the soul.

The creativity of blending electro-pop, R&B and house in the production of "Colors" alongside the inspirational ferocity of the vocal performance personifies everything that Fantastic Voyage is trying to create. According to the FV team, the core theme behind this new compilation is “showing your true colors,” touching on gay pride and self-doubt.

Fantastic Voyage is a Cali-based collective and label designed to test the limitations of modern music production and create harmonious sounds that surpass the limitations of single genre songwriting. FV’s journey began back in the dorm rooms of USC in 2013, when Dirtybird alumni Justin Jay met guitarist/producer/songwriter Benny Bridges. The indie-rock of Bridges and the Dirtybird house music of Jay would come together on three Fantastic Voyage albums and have already amassed millions of plays on Spotify. Their group has toured in Asia, Australia, and America, playing festivals such as Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Dirtybird Campout, Holy Ship, and Do Lab at Coachella.

Bridges also worked alongside Oli-J recently on the Fantastic Voyage release of "Stay With Me"—the first single off an upcoming new album from the singer not yet released.

"Colors" is set for official release on Friday, Oct. 8 via Spotify and Apple Music.
