Connecticut musician Kevin George has shared a whimsical, eclectic new EP called Everybody's in My Ear. Since building a cult fanbase and signing to Guin Records, he has been gaining momentum rapidly for this idiosyncratic sound and captivating personality. The dynamic artist, who demonstrates a wide range of influences in his songwriting, blends genres in a unique manner his newest EP. Combining R&B, indie rock, and more, George presents an intriguing series of songs that absorb the listener in their unconventional atmosphere.

Everybody's in My Ear kicks off with the energetic title track, which uses rapidly paced, raw guitars and upbeat drums to convey an engaging sense of urgency. Here, George's vocals reflect his wide range of influences, drawing from R&B, indie, and hip-hop. Moreover, his songwriting shines through immediately, as he comes through with some sharply crafted melodies in the verses, capped off by an infectious chorus. He follows this song up with the lead single "All in My Head", featuring talented Boston musician Johan Lenox. This track continues the brisk pace with bouncy drums, accompanied by restless, ruminative guitars. Furthermore, the bass line on "All in My Head" is truly memorable, giving this track lots of replay value. The next track, "Outside", shows another side of George, with subtle, wistful acoustic guitars and smooth, soft melodies.

Album highlight "Super Sweet" follows this, upping the pace once again and providing a summery, reflective feel. The song pairs mellow guitars with rubbery drums and catchy bass to create a hypnotic rhythm. The vocals are emotive and his melodies are unforgettable here, particularly in the chorus. Lastly, the album closes out with a strong pair of tracks in "Confused" and "Dreamstate", which sound more surreal and bring in atmospheric production centred around airy, dreamlike synths. They close out the EP in a thoughtful, pensive manner, appropriately tying the album's sound together while expanding it even further through experimentation.

Overall, Everybody's in My Ear is an engaging release from Kevin George that showcases his diverse skill set as a musician. Throughout the EP, it is easy to see how he draws influence from a wide range of genres, tying them together in a unique manner that reflects his personality. The project contains especially strong songwriting, pushing the boundaries while remaining catchy and tangible. Hopefully more is soon to come from the George, as his penchant for innovation keeps one deeply intrigued as to what he will do next.
