Spain's premiere indie-funk duo Moanday last released their visual for the acclaimed single "Blue Ceiling" back in June. The group has since retreated back to the studio in order to refine their groovy sound for their upcoming debut project, opening up their sessions to other standout acts within the local Spanish music scene. The results of one of these collaborations has culminated into their latest single, entitled "MALDEAMORES", and is a contender for one of the catchiest songs of the summer.
The new single enlist fellow Madrid-based crooner GOMZ, who provides the already tantalizing disco-funk groove with an infectious hook, bridge, and short verse sung completely in Spanish, that takes the song to soaring new heights. Rafael of Moanday explains: "Collaborating on "MALDEAMORES" with GOMZ was a great experience. We learned so much from each other and it was fun to mix all of our styles in one song. The inspiration behind this track was pretty much the feeling of love sickness caused by a toxic relationship, but we wanted to give it a hopeful atmosphere where we were mix a sad feeling with a positive and energetic sound."
