Following a string of singles, the incredibly cool Charlotte OC shares the new single, "Mexico," a sultry dingle dripping in brooding desire. Charlotte's vocals are dripping in gold, enticing you in to her every word.
Beginning with a gooey bassline that kickstarts the brooding nature, "Mexico" quickly sets hearts racing with its country guitar twangs and heartbeat-like drum thuds. Laced with dark pop intimacies, the single's euphoric sounds offer a glimpse of overcoming sadness and the distance between you and a loved one. Except Charlotte quickly becomes aware of her own needs, that quickly frankly, aren't being met. “I wrote this song when my boyfriend at the time was away with work and we weren’t speaking much," she says. "I missed him a lot and wasn’t getting much from him, so this song is what I wished he was saying to me, but in reality he wasn’t saying a lot.”
The latest release from her forthcoming album, Here Comes Trouble, Charlotte's trajectory is soaring. Her artistry is consuming and it's easy to get lost within her vocal delivery. A true gem that's emerging and hitting all the right radars.
