Young Franco and Golden Vessel team up on the feelgood "Underneath"

Retuning to his indie roots, Young Franco turns to close friend Golden Vessel for the woozy collaboration "Underneath". Coated in a lush feelgood vibe, the single combines the pairs irresistble sonics to create a damn good tune.

Floating above the glimmering sonics, Golden Vessel's woozy vocals soothe with their calming tones whilst Young Franco's production fuses summery beats with soulful notes to create a buoyant, fizzing single. A sun-drenched slow burner, the indie-soul hybrid showcases the pair at their best. Brimming with plump piano chords and melodic synth patterns, "Underneath" perfects the ambience for introspective reflection.

"Max and I have been friends for a couple of years now. We've always worked together but never had a full song that we've co-produced and co-wrote in the same room," explains Young Franco. "It was very special to release this song becasue of how easily it came about. Max recorded some chords on his piano. I wrote the bassline and we just went from there, sending it back and forth as well as Thenicholas adding some beautiful vocals and harmonies."

Of the single, Golden Vessel says: "To me it feels like it's about that corny moment at a music festival or a concert where you've spotted someone a couple of times and you lock eyes with them. Your favourite band is playing and you feel really conencted with this stranger even though you know nothing about them."

A match made in heaven, Young Franco & Golden Vessel emit an abundance of good vibes. "Underneath" may be their first collab since 2019's "Otherside", but with the greatness of this track, we're all banking on a few more coming our way.
