Alternative hip-hop collective who go by the moniker Stray Plugz caught our attention with their off-the-cuff brand of hip-hop on their new single "Sustainability Is Important." While the title might have you thinking of the Earth's ecology, the band actually sent a caveat via mail that it has nothing to do with the said term. Rather, the song is a raw, unfiltered display of individual energies from each member over a pounding ominous backdrop provided by producer Pasobionic. The onslaught is set by 3 who delivers a choppy offbeat verse riddled with vocal effects and warning shots to the opposition to clear the path. L0V3R1 continues the tandem with his nonchalant flow followed by Rivs Deep and Wonky VS who hold down the fort and sustain the group's confident utterances against adversaries.
Stray Plugz is an Australian collective made up of rappers/vocalist 3, Riv Deep (Rara), Âróly Tärîq (Audego), and Wonky VS (Hedsbent) with producer Pasobionic (of Empty Beats for Lonley Rappers fame) completing the cipher. Although each member has their own solo thing going on, their mutual love for off-kilter hip-hop was what brought them together.
