Loren Allred reminds us to accept our flaws in "Perfect"

Acclaimed Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Loren Allred just unveiled her latest pop anthem, “Perfect,” and the song offers a heart-warming anecdote as we continue to live through a time of uncertainty, and when self-care is of utmost importance. The artist, who is best known for her gleaming vocal performance of “Never Enough” from the film The Greatest Showman, began releasing original music in 2020 and it’s phenomenal to see the artist emerge with such a raw, brilliant talent for creating songs that inspire self-empowerment and inner strength.

In “Perfect,” Loren has an influential message to share about the importance of accepting our shortcomings and prioritizing emotional and mental health. After being overpowered by trying to fit an image of perfection that simply doesn’t exist, the artist gained valuable insight into her true self-worth and formed a deeper connection with herself along the way. Loren confides, "The song was inspired by my experiences trying to please everyone, and realizing that in the process of trying to achieve the moving target of perfection, that I'd lost myself. Reaching the place of knowing that you should only compare yourself to who you were yesterday is so liberating. I'm happy to be imperfectly 'Perfect'! " Featuring a mix of stunning vocals, vulnerable lyricism, and a glistening bright pop melody, the song radiates with strength, honesty, and the wisdom to let go of what was, so that a new, brighter future can emerge.

Loren Allred has graced us with her collaborations with Michael Buble, David Foster, and of course her famed vocal performance in The Greatest Showman. The singer/songwriter has since released two singles, “This Summer” and “Your Girl,” and is set to release her debut EP in late September of this year. Additionally, for the remainder of the year, Loren will be joining famed opera star Andrea Bocelli for several dates on his North American tour. With plenty more music to come, we can't wait to hear what's next for this budding star.

Listen to “Perfect” here and remember that you are beautiful, just the way you are!
