Inspired by true events, the singer recounts a situation where people he thought were his friends did him wrong and now he is more guarded than ever. Rufus hails from a small Wiltshire village in the southwest of England and started his career writing and performing his own songs at local venues as a teenager and producing songs for his peers. He is presently working on his debut EP with producers Remedee (AJ Tracey, Unknown T, Not3s), Kxlla K (Lethal Bizzle, Sneakbo) among others. "One Eye Open" is the first single from Rufus’ upcoming debut EP, which is set for release in the autumn.
