Volleyball send a gift from the gods on "Aloosh"

Sent from the heavens, London-based modern-psych band Volleyball deliver the almighty "Aloosh". A word that means "from the sky", the track truly is a gift from the musical gods.

A woozy single wrapped in jangly guitar tones and blissful melodies, "Aloosh" transports you to those hazy summer days where life is damn good. Rooted in the psych genre, Volleyball loop their hazy sounds with echoing cymbals that offers a path into a whimsical land of the intricate layering of modern psych intimacies.

Spending the past year working on two mini-albums, "Aloosh" is a stepping stone to their creativity brilliance. "We love how that image captures the transitory nature of memories and places, how they can be important in your life, disappearing without you noticing and reappearing when you least expect them," explain the band. "Memories that seem far away can be recalled easily through music. Aloosh was also the name of a friend’s band at the time some of us moved to London. They formed the centre of a scene that worked from a studio in Dalston, leading to many collaborations and good times – in part driving us towards what we’re doing now.”

"Aloosh" is a wavy, sun-soaked single that warps your mind into a place of chilled existence. There's an abundance of bands doing psych so well right now, but something's making us keep Volleyball on our radars. This is something very special.
