Kerrie has been welcomed to the Cultivated Electronics family, with two EPs set to be released on the vinyl-only sister label, Cultivated Electronics Ltd. Her debut on the label follows releases on I Love Acid and Don’t Be Afraid, with a 2020 I Love Acid release really setting the standards for what we have come to expect from the Ireland-born, Manchester-based DJ and producer.

Cultivated Electronics · CE LTD 006 – Kerrie – We Continue Part 1

Opening track “Heptapod K” warms things up gently with five minutes of acidic squelches and bouncing basslines. Fun, groovy, and still a million miles away from full-throttle, it’s the warm up we all deserve. “Droid Nation” begins to stray into darker territory — moody breakbeats and mechanical malfunctions make this one sound as though it’s from an entirely different planet. Tinged with acid and an industrial edge, Kerrie really puts her foot down with this one; made for a dark warehouse, it has all the makings of a classic.

The aptly named “Swarm” takes the lead on the B side. Although in some ways gentler than the previous tracks, it still manages to exude a wholly more ominous tone. It’s a hypnotic sensory overload, in the best way possible. The EP is rounded off with “They Can’t Stop Us”; bouncy, futuristic and funky, Kerrie proves that her electro is just as impressive as her techno. A quintessential sound that will stand the test of time, we can’t wait to hear what the second instalment has in store for us. If this one's anything to go by, it’s going to be something special.

We Continue Part 1 can be purchased via Clone.
