Electro master Plant43 has joined the newly-launched Future Massive to release an electric new five-track EP. Refined and classy, Unknown Structure takes us on a journey through the cosmic end of the electro spectrum.
“Unknown Structure” and “Flickering Neon” give us a taste of Plant43’s classic sound; unhurried, futuristic beats that are going to stand the test of time. Nimble synth work and unwavering basslines are a match made in heaven when it comes to Emile Facey’s work. Exuding a chilled demeanour whilst also having the ability to cause serious damage on a big soundsystem, Facey has the balance just right with these ones.
From the meandering rhythms of “Slowburn Storms” to the punchy, vintage sound of “Unknown Structure,” no stone is left unturned. “Cloud Monolith” closes the EP off, carving out a dreamy, otherworldly landscape to lose yourself in. Emotional and nostalgic, the track comes straight after “Slowburn Storms” to make up the B side of the EP; a side dedicated to the more cultivated side of the genre, it's a million miles away from club-focused sounds, but just as impactful.
