Australian rapper, SAHXL showcases his unique style and inspiring energy on the premiere of his latest single, “C4.” The accompanying music video has a dark and stormy aesthetic featuring cityscapes, ocean fronts with crashing waves, and the occasional star-lined roof of a Rolls Royce. The 18-year old artist saw recent success with his debut single, “Demons,” landing on the cover of Spotify’s The Drip playlist.
“C4” has a mellow trap beat combining fast bars with rhythmic melodies. Produced by Khaled Rohaim and Haan, the track is reminiscent of a Juice WRLD or 24kGoldn sound. SAHXL’s ability to rap and harmonize effortlessly over the beat aligns with the new wave style of hip-hop today. He raps the chorus, “I make this look easy, I’m blowin’ up. Like a C4, all my brothers blowin’ up.” He has a confident energy that brings listeners in. His bars aren’t overly conceited or glamorous, but hopeful and nonchalant.
SAHXL plans to release more new music this year with the hopes to relate to his audience. He describes his creative process, “Over the last couple of years more people have started listening and found something they could connect and relate to in my music. I get people telling me that the music I'm making is helping them or influencing them in a way that's uplifting them. That's the energy that keeps me going.” Capitalizing on his skill and passion for his craft, SAHXL is a young artist quickly on the rise to mainstream fame.
