Quickly making a name for himself as one of the most versatile producers in the dance music space, Rome in Silver thrives on letting his creativity out of the box that a lot of producers find themselves trapped in. His latest single, "Like You" showcases his imaginativeness; offering an enchanting dance music track destined to make listeners catch a groove.
Releasing on bitbird, "Like You" is an enchanting trip that features immaculately curated instruments and accents to create a full-bodied atmospheric experience. Rome in Silver credits his inspiration for the track to Bonobo, and the influence is definitely noticeable. Rome in Silver shared “I was in Palm Springs listening to a ton of Bonobo records back to back. I wanted to create something similar by using organic, world-influenced sounds but with my own flavor and this was the end result. Everything was based around that vocal phrase and the kalimba [instrument].”
The focus on the vocal and kalimba works to create a dreamy and almost other-worldly setting that resonates throughout the tarck. The drums offer an enduring foundation that pairs with the other tribal elements giving the track its bounce and a sense of collectiveness from start to finish.
With an appearance lined up at Bonnaroo later this fall, and tour dates with CloZee and LSDream on the schedule there are no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
