Serving up one of the most funky tunes of the year, Emily-Rose and the Wild Things shine on new single "Golden Light." The single see's front-woman Emily-Rose confidently manoeuvre through hauntingly beautiful vocals alongside the band's simmering signature feel-good vibes.
The organic flow of the single gives way to a wash of ethereal overlapping of voices, cascading violin and double bass imitating the glittering light through a morning window. The track ends with a reprise of the main song, this time intimately sung with soulful guitar backing.
"Golden Light" is a warm hug of expansive proportions. The Australian band’s impressive dexterity has evolved and transformed their sound within the single.
Following on from the electric and more rhythmic method of "Complete as One," "Golden Light," is laid-back funk influenced tune, the first half of the single paints the sunset at front-woman Emily-Rose’s room all it’s sensual glory. Their upcoming 'Upon these Open Skins' is slated for release 10th July 2021.
